The point of this post is not the people who are attending but discerning the powers behind this event:
"For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against the evil principalities and authorities of the unseen world, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, and against evil spirits in the the spirit world." - Ephesians 6:12
The secret power of lawlessness is already at work...(2 Thessalonians 2:7, see also Ephesians 2:2, 1 John 4:3)This is a counterfeit. This is man-made. This is preparing the way for the antichrist to come on the scene. The antichrist spirit is a very religious spirit. We must always pray for discernment. We are instructed to "test the spirits" (1 John 4:1). This is a false spirit (Ephesians 2:2, 1 John 2:18). We are exhorted to, "fervently contend for the faith which was once [or originally] delivered unto the saints." Paul is talking here about the Doctrine of Christ. Nothing more. nothing less. There is no evidence that people are being convicted of sin resulting in broken hearts and contrite spirits at this so-called revival. They are promoting both more and less than the Doctrine of Christ. They are teaching and doing everything but the Doctrine of Christ. "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed" (Galatians 1:8).
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12
For Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness? 1 Corinthians 11:13-15.
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
Therefore,
“Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” 2 Corinthians 6: 14-17
The concept of revival preceding the Lord's return is not in the scriptures. The scriptures prophesy an apostasy before the Lord's return not revival (2 Thessalonians 2:3). The Lord's true church (according to his definition in the scriptures) is in the wilderness at the time of the Resurrection / his gathering his people to himself in the clouds (Rev. 3:20, Matthew 24:30-31, 40-41, Luke 17:34, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Isaiah 26:19-21, D&C 45:45, Revelation 12:5, Luke 21:36) which is soon at hand.
This is not Joel 2:28-29. For one thing this scripture is not talking about the Holy Spirit just being generally poured out for no particular reason. This scripture is also not saying that the purpose of God's spirit being poured out during this prophesied time is for revival. The scripture states that when this particular prophesied instance of the Holy Spirit begins to be fulfilled that this results in dreams and visions not revival. The Holy Spirit is also not being poured out just for the sake of people having dreams and visions about any old subject. These Joel 2:28-29 dreams and visions that the Lord has been pouring out on thousands upon thousands of his servants for over a decade now have a very specific purpose. They are always about just one subject: warning and preparing people to be ready for the Resurrection / the Lord gathering his people to himself in the clouds / and the Wedding Supper of the Lamb. No one at this so-called revival is reporting dreams or visions of the Lord's soon return in the clouds to gather his people. No one in this so-called revival is warning people to watch for the Lord's return and to be ready as he commands (Matthew 25:10, D&C 45:39, Rev. 3:3, Luke 21:36, D&C 45:44 ). But for the actual servants of the Lord the fruit of these dreams and visions is that they are compelled to tell as many people as possible in order to warn others and prepare others as they have been prepared through these dreams and visions. Quite often the Lord even tells them to make a YouTube video and share the dream or the vision that way. But you will never see the national news covering the real move of God happening right now - these prophetic dreams and visions about the Lord's return being given to thousands of people around the world, unlike this so-called revival which has gotten tons of attention from the mainstream media.

Is The Asbury “Revival” A Real Revival?
Testimony of a skeptical man who attended Asbury (says he was saved a number of years ago at what he calls a fake revival):
