a few comments after tonight's radio show appearance

I will listen to the archived show tomorrow and post any links that I referenced here. Today I updated all of the broken links on the Mormon Mysticism section of the Suggested Reading bar at the right hand of this blog. All but one have been fixed. I will do the same for the Mormon Goddess section tonight, so check back soon. Thanks for your interest! You can post any questions or comments about the show below.

I think that there is a lot more that has been said about the Mormon Heavenly Mother than may have come across on the show – maybe not as much from church leaders but there are dozens of articles written by church members (and even non-Mormon scholars) past and present, many of which are linked on the “Mormon Goddess” section of “Suggested Reading Sidebar, ” and elsewhere on my blog: http://bethanymagdalene.blogspot.com/.

Not only were early Mormon women involved in first wave feminism but there are also Mormon’s today who have been foremothers of the contemporary women’s spirituality movement, such as Carol Lynn Pearson and her one-women play “Mother Wove the Morning.” Also, one of the most ubiquitous feminist slogans in the world was coined by a Pulitzer Prize winning Mormon, Laurel Thatcher Ulrich who wrote, “well behaved women seldom make history.”.
